Pathetic badminton stringing job. The strings broke during the very first game after fewer than 20 shots. When I went back, the staff guy took one look at me and immediately blamed me without even considering that the stringing job could have been at fault. I expected them to at least acknowledge the possibility of a bad stringing job. Instead, the employee was rude, dismissive, and even threatened to kick me out. I’ve been playing badminton for over two years, so I understand that an occasional bad stringing job can happen. Complete refusal to take any responsibility or even consider that the stringing might have been faulty was uncalled for. The rude customer service was far more disappointing than the broken strings.

The reservation system is a mess. You don't get your court on time, miss half your booked time and are still kicked off at the end of the reservation. Policies aren't enforced and entitled people who don't follow the rules. For example, cycling out during drop in. Certain people refuse to rotate, even though they don't have a reservation while people are waiting multiple games to play. If courts were managed, it would work, but as-is it's become a mess.

I intended to use this court but couldn’t due to time constraints. I liked the courtβ€”it has so much energy and really motivates one to go beyond their capacity, and I wished to continue. When I joined, I was clearly told that the membership fees were prorated. However, when I wanted to cancel, I faced several issues: no responses to emails regarding membership cancellation, no responses to phone calls, voicemail mailboxes always being full, and, most concerningly, no refund for the unused period, which contradicts what I was initially told. Additionally, there is no policy available on the website for reference. I expect the academy to adhere to the promises made

Update after a month: they ask around to check who left which feedback. Also I was threatened cancelling my membership :) Hello owner of NWBA. I’d like to give feedback regarding today’s experience of us. I tried reaching out to the number I was told but the text can’t be delivered. I came to the court with the reservation from 3 to 4. Arrived late at 3:30 and asked if we could get a single. I was told it’s not possible since there are too many people waiting. We tried grabbing 2 courts when the previous group of people left but then got kicked out quickly because other people with reservation came. I left at 4:30 without playing. I know another guy with 4-5 who’s still waiting for a court when I left. I know we are supposed to arrive in time to keep reservations valid and we don’t ask for too much in this case. But this time it’s just too much - we were told there’s only 16 reservations in total but take a look at the photo, i don’t think it’s even close to 16. So I’m wondering who’s taking the court from us? I fully understand NWBA is a business and making money is legit, but that shouldn’t come at the cost of hurting members’ right to play when trying to take in more drop-in
